Private Label Packaging was established January 1st, 2025, by liquor packaging expert Paul Dunning, after an amicable separation between the two owners of Fusion Glassworks which has been in business since 2004.
At Private Label Packaging we continue building relationships and capabilities within the packaging industry. An emphasis on high end custom glass projects and attention to detail, with a quality control driven foundation, fuels our passion for bringing complex, imaginative, and unique dreams and ideas to the forefront. At Private Label Packaging we take quality control to the next level with a pass/fail driven AQL as well as inline inspections during mass production. With this method more potential defects are found early in the process and fixed, to help avoid issues on the back end when product is delivered to clients.
Our team of industry professionals based in the United States, as well as a boots on ground team in China help to make communication easy and efficient throughout the process and serve as the main point of contact for our factories overseas.

Private Label Packaging was originally established as Fusion Sourcing – a general purpose sourcing agency based in Shanghai, China. Early on in the life of the company, we had a customer who wanted to purchase inexpensive glass bottles from China. We spent some time researching glass factories and ultimately settled on one. Unfortunately, we ran into a number of problems with that factory – from low quality product to unsavory customer service. The bad factory experience was repeated multiple times over the years, but ultimately, we settled on a handful of trustworthy and reliable manufacturing partners who have really helped our business grow.
Over time, the glass customer’s orders grew larger, the variety of bottles we were purchasing expanded, and the number of factories we worked with increased. As our experience with glass bottles grew, we started actively looking for new glass customers. We took on customers that needed hot sauce bottles, jam jars, pharmaceutical bottles, juice bottles, but most of all, custom spirits bottles.
China is known as the workshop of the world. It produces the majority of the world’s inexpensive goods, but as most people know, quality is not often easy to come by when purchasing from China. Most of the factories here offer shoddy products and service to match. These issues are often compounded by the fact that the management usually do not speak any English, and in general do not seem to understand the basic concepts of quality or service. Frequently it seems as if “close enough” is the country motto.
However, it is still possible to find, or manufacture, inexpensive yet high quality products in China – we do it everyday. It simply requires extensive experience and a constant vigilance over the vendors. This is something that Private Label Packaging will provide. We understand the desire to reduce costs by purchasing from China. We also understand the difficulties and frustration, and the apprehension that accompanies the decision. But we don’t believe it has to be like that. Our goal is to allow you to take advantage of the inexpensive prices of China without having to worry about quality, or customer service, or communication. You don’t need that hassle. You just need a quality product and a good price.
